  • Responsibilities

    The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for evaluating clients for Fitness and Aquatics, providing clinical treatment and implementing individual client programs, as well as formulating a comprehensive treatment plan with other interdisciplinary team members.  This position will work throughout the Ypsilanti, Michigan area. 

     

    Position Requirements

    Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology

    NCCA accredited certification in any of the following: ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, etc. is required. Highly desirable certifications for this position would be ACSM CEP or ACSM RCEP.

    Previous experience working with individuals with disability or special needs

    Previous experience working with individuals with brain or spinal cord injury (preferred)

    Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting

    Strong communication skills

    Strong interpersonal skills

    Ability and willingness to learn new skills

    Ability and willingness to set priorities

    Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and serve as a team member

    Ability to lift, maneuver and carry up to 30 lbs.

    Acceptable under the State of Michigan Good Moral Character Statute

    Knowledgeable of HIPAA Privacy Rules
