  • Responsibilities

    The Counselor is responsible for evaluation of clients, supervision of individual psychological support, individual counseling, behavioral management planning and family counseling. Works with other interdisciplinary team members for treatment planning and implementation.   


    Core Qualifications:

    Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) in the state of Michigan

    Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology or Counseling

    Previous experience with Children and Adolescents

    Previous experience with spinal cord injury clients

    Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting

    Leadership skills

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Strong interpersonal skills

    Ability and willingness to learn new skills

    Ability and willingness to set priorities

    Ability to work as an interdisciplinary team and serve as a team member

    Ability to lift, maneuver and carry up to 30lbs.

    Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

    Acceptable under the State of Michigan's Good Moral

    Willingness to be on-call

    Local travel


    Additional Qualifications:

    Previous experience working with the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) population preferred
